Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has never been known to hang up the phone when teams call to negotiate trades involving one of his players. He’s also been known for being one of the most aggressive NFL GMs when it comes to finding roster upgrades for his team.
As draft weekend is set to kick off, starting on April 23, you can bet the Eagles have been busy working the phone lines. The 2026 NFL Draft presents the perfect opportunity to swing a deal or two, and the Eagles may have more trades they’re working on later this week.
According to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Eagles are “plotting to make a deal on draft weekend.”
The Eagles enter Thursday’s event with the 23rd overall pick in the first round. Philadelphia has eight selections in total across the three-day event, including No. 54, 68, 98, and 114. That’s more than enough ammo to work with, especially if they’re targeting players with reduced trade value.
As noted, the Eagles may have moved on from the pursuit of someone like Greenard, but there are several other impact players who may be up for grabs. Surely, Roseman already has a strong idea of who’s available, and he may be ready to strike.
