Cleveland Browns superstar Myles Garrett made a statement over the weekend, and unfortunately, it wasn't a good one.

The conversation about Myles Garrett and the new Browns coaching staff to start their tenure has been odd at best. New head coach Todd Monken is repeatedly asked about his communication with his superstar pass rusher, and every time, his answer is cagey and odd.

The two have yet to talk face-to-face; they have just communicated via text message at this point. Over the weekend, Myles made a very passive-aggressive, yet large statement about his current feelings about the Browns. This period in NFL football is all optional for the players, so he is certainly not required to be at the facility with the team.

However, Garrett flew into town and was front and center for the Cavaliers' Game One of their series against the Toronto Raptors, as he should be. He is a part-owner of the Cavs and was there for his guys, as they comfortably defeated the Raptors. He even had a big video board crowd shot midway through the game, which was awesome.

Then, Sunday morning, he promptly hit Cleveland Hopkins Airport and was out of town. He posted the image below to his Instagram story to make sure everyone knew that he is already out of town.

What does this mean for the Browns?

Could it be nothing? Yes, that's definitely likely. But it is never nothing with Myles or any of these players, for that matter. They are all very calculated, and they rarely do anything or post anything on accident and have it mean something out of coincidence.

Tuesday, April 21, is the beginning of the veteran voluntary minicamp that lasts from Tuesday through Thursday. It seems fairly obvious that Garrett won't be there for that, but I guess time will tell.

Monken has been on record saying that he is not concerned about Garrett and believes that he will be there when he is required to be, which is all that anyone asks. No one can look at this situation and objectively say that there isn't something very odd about it.

He has a month until he has to be back in Cleveland for Organized Team Activities (OTAs), which last from May 19th through June 5th. Until then, don't get your hopes up that Garrett will be in Northeast Ohio.
