“Skywalker” got the call.

On just five days’ notice, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has signed former Bellator standout Lucas Brennan to face Francis Marshall at UFC Vegas 116 this weekend (Sat., April 25, 2026) inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout will be contested at Lightweight. Eurosport was first to report the news.

Brennan (11-2), the son of former UFC veteran Chris Brennan, made a name for himself early in Bellator, debuting at Bellator 224 and rattling off a perfect 9-0 record with eight finishes. The 25-year-old quickly built a reputation as a dangerous finisher with a slick submission game.

However, his momentum stalled in 2024 with back-to-back losses — first to Dimitre Ivy in PFL, followed by another defeat under the Fury FC banner. Since then, Brennan has rebounded nicely, picking up consecutive first-round submission wins on the Texas regional scene at Xtreme Knockout.

Overall, “Skywalker” boasts a 91 percent finish rate, with eight submissions and two knockouts.

Marshall (9-3), meanwhile, is coming off a submission win over Erik Silva at UFC Mexico City — a result that led to Silva’s release from the promotion. Prior to that, “Fire” dropped a controversial split decision to Marion Santos.

Now 3-3 in the UFC with two finishes, Marshall will look to build some consistency against a short-notice but dangerous opponent.

Whether this late addition moves the needle for what has been viewed as a relatively forgettable Apex card remains to be seen.
