During a recent event held in Tokyo, Japan Airlines revealed that it has selected RECARO’s R2 economy class seats for its new Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet.
Each seat features well-positioned USB Type A & C ports, enabling every passenger to stay connected and conveniently charge their personal devices throughout the flight. The thoughtfully designed “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) holder ensures optimal placement for passengers to utilize their own devices, enhancing their onboard experience.
The R2 also features ergonomically designed cushions and cutomized dress covers tailored specifically in the Japan Airlines design, elevating comfort and aesthetics. The integrated headrest offers ergonomic support while the seat’s robust and lightweight design maximizes passenger comfort.
Each seat is features a generously sized table, offering ample space for dining, work, or entertainment. For storage, the R2 is equipped with two literature pockets, including a lower pocket with expanded netting and a upper literature pocket, both designed to provide sufficient storage while preserving generous living space.
“It is an honor for us to have been selected by Japan Airlines for its new Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet. We share the same values regarding passenger travel experience and passenger comfort. This is a testament to our long-standing partnership of more than 15 years. We look forward to achieving the next milestones together,” said Mark Hiller, CEO & Shareholder of RECARO Aircraft Seating and CEO of RECARO Holding.
