Despite being limited to designated hitter duties, the Atlanta Braves could reunite with one of the members of their 2021 World Series-winning team.
Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller sees a scenario in which the 13-year veteran returns to the Braves if they need a power boost near the Major League trade deadline.
"Wouldn't it be fun if the Atlanta Braves acquired Jorge Soler at the trade deadline for a third time in six seasons?" Miller wrote on Wednesday. "They don't exactly need any help in the run production department at the moment, but if Mike Yastrzemski doesn't turn things around, they'll probably be in the market for at least one bat."
Soler is hitting .224/.330/.461 with five home runs and a .790 OPS in the first 21 games of 2026 with the Los Angeles Angels. He was named the 2021 World Series MVP with the Braves, who defeated the Houston Astros in six games.
Just a few weeks ago, Soler charged the mound against the Braves, starting a benches-clearing brawl after an inside pitch from right-hander Reynaldo Lopez. The right-handed hitter was suspended for seven games, but it was later reduced to four games after an appeal.

A trade to the Braves would be Soler's third stint with Atlanta. They acquired him from the San Francisco Giants in 2024.
The 34-year-old could be on the move again if the Angels fall out of contention.
