Barcelona midfielder Pedri has some words of comfort for Lamine Yamal after the teenager was forced off injured against Celta Vigo on Wednesday night.

Yamal scored the winner from the penalty spot but was unable to continue after converting his spot-kick and was replaced by Roony Bardghji.

There are now fears that Yamal could potentially miss the rest of the season and potentially the World Cup, but Pedri is confident he won’t be out for long and has told his team-mate he expects him to recover quickly.

Pedri also spoke about the importance of grinding out the win against Celta.

Barcelona now go on to face Getafe at the weekend and will also wait anxiously for an update on Yamal. Early reports suggest he has a hamstring injury but further tests are needed to determine the severity of the problem.
