With the NFL Draft just mere hours from beginning, one of the NFL’s top young receivers could be on the move.

Per Mike Florio of NBC Sports, the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to trade into the first round, and Brian Thomas Jr. could be part of a trade package.

“As the draft approaches, we’re told that the Jaguars may be trying to lay the foundation for a potential trade into the bottom of round one,” Florio writes. “The potential bait could include receiver Brian Thomas Jr.”

The Jaguars don’t currently have a pick until late in the second round (N0. 56 overall) after trading their 2026 first-round selection to the Cleveland Browns last year as part of the trade to draft Travis Hunter.

After Parker Washington led Jacksonville in receptions and yards and Jakobi Meyers had a big second half of the season after being acquired at the trade deadline, Rumors about the Jaguars potentially shopping Thomas have heightened. Should the Steelers be able to acquire the Pro Bowl receiver by sending the 21st pick to Jacksonville, and also get a Top 100 pick in return, it would be hard to say no to.

Thomas was a Pro Bowl selection in 2024, catching 87 passes for just under 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns. He missed three games in 2025 and saw his numbers drop to just 48 catches for 707 yards.
