The 2026 NFL Draft is finally here, and the Chicago Bears are set to welcome a new group of rookies to the roster this weekend.
The Bears are sitting with the 25th overall pick, which marks the first time in four years that Chicago won't be selecting in the Top 10. With those picks, the Bears selected tight end Colston Loveland (2025), quarterback Caleb Williams (2024), wide receiver Rome Odunze (2024) and right tackle Darnell Wright (2023). The last time Chicago selected outside of the Top 10 was back in 2021, when they drafted quarterback Justin Fields at 11th overall.
When it comes to the No. 25 pick, there are several directions that the Bears can go, whether that’s trading down or staying put and potentially nabbing an impact player. Regardless, there will be plenty of options on the board to address one of their pressing needs.
So when exactly can Bears fans expect to the team to make their pick? (Assuming they don’t trade down.)
What time will the Bears pick tonight?
The NFL shortened the time limitations for first-round picks this year, where teams will now have to make their pick in eight minutes compared to 10 minutes in years past. That means the first round should move a lot quicker, so the Bears will wind up picking earlier than the New York Giants did last year.
Last year, the Giants selected quarterback Jaxson Dart at 10:58 p.m. ET. But with new time limitations, that should shave off 48 minutes, meaning Chicago should be picking around 10:10 p.m. ET -- depending on how many trades go down.
