It was a great night for all of the families represented in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, but the New Orleans Saints' pick Jordyn Tyson's family had an extra-special night.

Not only did Tyson get drafted, fulfilling a lifelong dream, but his brother Jaylon Tyson took the stage in the NBA playoffs with the Cleveland Cavaliers. While the Cavaliers were unable to pull off a win, still leading the series 2-1 over the Toronto Raptors, it must have been a special moment for their parents to experience both at the same time.

Jordyn didn't hog the spotlight, either, as he and his family had a laptop playing the game in the green room while waiting to be drafted. Jaylon had the best performance of his young playoff career with 13 points on 5-of-9 from the field with two rebounds and four assists.

The Cavaliers drafted Tyson with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft after spending three years in college with three different teams. He is mostly just a role player in Cleveland, but has taken a much larger share this past season. He certainly has the makings of a longtime NBA rotation piece.

Given how athletic Jordyn is on the field, it's no surprise that his older brother is an NBA player. Their other brother played college football with the South Alabama Jaguars, and their father played for the Florida A&M Rattlers. Sports run through their genes.
