Barcelona will look to take another step towards La Liga glory at Getafe after Real Madrid's latest slip-up.
Madrid were pegged back by Hector Bellerin's last-gasp equaliser for Real Betis on Friday night.
It means Barca will surge 11 points clear if they beat Getafe to claim a ninth consecutive league win that would heighten the chance of them being able to mathematically retain the title in El Clasico against Madrid at Camp Nou next month. They could even be champions before then if Alvaro Arbeloa's men drop further points at Espanyol next weekend.
Getafe are sure to be a tough nut to crack, though, as they always are. Only Madrid and Barca have conceded fewer goals than the 32 Jose Bordalas' men have allowed.
They are sixth in the table, sitting in the Conference League qualifying spot despite scoring just 28 times in 32 matches. Only bottom club Real Oviedo have managed fewer goals. Hansi Flick and Barca, without the injured Lamine Yamal, know they must expect this one to be a bit of a slog.
