One of the biggest themes here in the 2026 NFL Draft for the New Orleans Saints has been the many connections made between their selections and family members, friends, and competitors. From players who have played with other picks or who are related to other NFL talents over the years, it has been a fun year for drawing the lines between each prospect and their respective connections.
Shortly after Day 2 of the draft, another one popped up between the two Georgia players selected, as third-round tight end Oscar Delp mentioned he has known Saints second-round pick Christen Miller since the eighth grade.
The two teammates clearly go back quite a long way, both being from a similar region in Georgia initially, going to high school less than an hour apart, as well, on opposite sides of Atlanta.
Having all these connections early on for Saints selections makes for a fun draft class coming into camp, as they will have plenty to talk about and bond over throughout the course of the first few months, building a strong relationship before they even get on the field for the regular season.
