Congratulations to Westfield's Carlynne Schrock on being voted Player of the Week for April 13-18! Schrock homered twice and totaled three RBIs in a one-run loss to Brownsburg. She added a double, a run scored and a steal vs. West Lafayette Harrison, and finished with 12 putouts on 12 chances against the Raiders and Cathedral.

Here were the top performers from the past week.

Rylee Amt, Brownsburg

The freshman batted .667 in four games last week and hit her first career home run, a three-run shot in a win over Carmel. She collected six RBIs and struck out eight over five innings pitched.

Ally Bland, Edgewood

The Taylor commit totaled 37 strikeouts over four games last week, pushing her over 700 for her career. Bland pitched a five-inning no-hitter with zero walks and 12 Ks in a 10-0 win over Beech Grove and spun a five-inning one-hit shutout of Lawrence North. She also had four hits at the plate for the week.

Kayla Brewer, Roncalli

Brewer struck out 14 and had a near-perfect game vs. Rochester (one hitter reached on an error). She also fanned 13 and allowed only one run on two hits in a five-inning win over Covenant Christian. She finished the week with 41 strikeouts, 33 of which came during the Kokomo Invite over the weekend.

Gracie Crafton, Shelbyville

The junior batted .500 on the week with four doubles and seven RBIs. Her week at the plate was highlighted by a 5-for-6 performance vs. Franklin that included five RBIs and a couple runs scored. Crafton, who stole a base vs. Crawfordsville, also picked up 11 strikeouts and a save in the circle.

Brinna Dale, Westfield

The Rocks freshman delivered a game-tying base hit with two outs in the bottom of the seventh Saturday vs. Roncalli. Dale ripped the 1-2 pitch into right field to score the runner from second and coming around to score herself on the same play. Dale allowed one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in four innings pitched vs. Delta earlier in the day.

Jillian DeYoung, Hanover Central

DeYoung allowed only three earned runs in 20 innings of work. She struck out nine in a 3-1 loss to Munster, then bounced back with a two-hit shutout of Lowell (seven strikeouts) and allowed only one run on two hits with 14 strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Kankakee Valley.

Ellie Eaton, Sheridan

The freshman helped the Blackhawks secure their first win of the season, going 4-for-5 with four RBIs and four runs in a 12-9 win over Covenant Christian. Her collection of hits included a double and a homer, and she finished the week with 13 hits (four doubles, two homers), 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Avery Gries, Bishop Chatard

The junior totaled six hits and three RBIs across three games last week. Her hits included three doubles, she stole a base and was perfect on seven chances in the field.

Willow Harvey, Avon

Harvey batted .385 with a triple, two homers, three RBIs, four runs and a walk. She had two hits and a run scored vs. Center Grove and two hits, two RBIs and two runs against Pendleton Heights.

Jaci Heath, Fort Wayne Carroll

Heath feasted last week, going 10-for-16 with four doubles, a triple, a homer, five RBIs and a couple walks. She enjoyed a four-hit (three doubles, one triple) night vs. Fort Wayne Northrop and drove in three RBIs against Heritage.

Jordyn Hudson, Greenwood

Hudson had seven hits, four RBIs and five runs scored across three games last week, helping the Woodmen to wins over Shelbyville and Decatur Central (2). Her best performance came in game two vs. DC, a 12-8 win, during which she went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run scored.

Maggie Kern, Noblesville

Kern doubled as part of a two-hit night vs. West Lafayette Harrison, homered twice in a comeback win over Franklin Central, homered again against Lake Central and doubled twice and drove in three RBIs vs. Cathedral. She boasts a season average of .412 with four round-trippers.

Paige Liezert, Crown Point

Liezert cleared 500 career strikeouts during a daunting three-game week. She pitched nine innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits and striking out 10 in a 2-1 loss to Lake Central, then fanned 12 with two runs allowed on three hits vs. Marist (Ill.). Liezert capped the week with five scoreless innings and eight strikeouts vs. West Lafayette Harrison.

Addie Martin, Franklin

Martin hit .562 with a .588 OBP last week for the Grizzly Cubs. She stole three bases and posted a .909 fielding percentage on 11 chances. Martin’s week was highlighted by three-hit efforts vs. Shelbyville and Columbus East.

Callie Pinkley, Speedway

Pinkleycollected nine hits, two RBIs and three runs scored in five games last week. She had two hits, two runs and an RBI in a 10-7 win over Bishop Chatard.

Olivia Schultheis, Homestead

The junior notched three hits (one double and one homer), five RBIs and two runs in a 12-7 win over Northrop on Saturday, capping off a week that saw her go 9-for-14 with four doubles, a triple and a dinger. She amassed 10 RBIs and drew two walks.

Addison Stepro, South Central (Elizabeth)

Stepro doubled twice, drove in two runs and scored once in an 8-7 loss to West Washington, then added another hit and run scored against North Harrison. She did not allow an earned run and struck out five with zero walks in seven innings against North Harrison.

Grace Swank, Central Noble

Swank led the Cougars to four narrow wins last week, batting 4-for-9 with seven RBIs and a homer. She also picked up 68 strikeouts and allowed only 12 hits. She struck out 18 in an eight-inning win over Westview and fanned 19 in a 2-1 triumph over Prairie Heights.

Tegan Tripp, Lake Central

The Indians played six games last week. Tripp had at least three hits in four of them. She notched three hits and three RBIs against both Merrillville and Valparaiso, notched a hit, an RBI and a run vs. Noblesville, then homered twice as part of a four-hit, nine-RBI effort vs. Brownsburg. Tripp wrapped up the week by going 3-for-3 with a homer, an RBI and two runs vs. Penn.

Camryn Wolfe, Monrovia

The sophomore had two hits in the Bulldogs' first game against Beech Grove, another hit, two runs and an RBI in the rematch and a 4-for-4 performance vs. South Putnam that included three doubles and a run scored.

Jaylee Yeadon, Brownstown Central

Yeadon collected a hit and a run scored against both Seymour and Whiteland, then broke out for three hits (one double) and a couple runs scored against Hamilton Southeastern. The sophomore also stole a base and was perfect in the field on nine chances.
