The UFC is back in Perth this week as part of its two-year agreement to bring five events to Western Australia, and a former champ headlines the show.
Here's how to watch UFC Fight Night 275, where welterweight standouts headline in Perth.
Broadcast and streaming info
UFC Perth will take place – finally, for the fans there – at normal prime time hours in Australia. That means the main card streams at 7 a.m. ET on Paramount+. The prelims stream on Paramount+ at 4 a.m. ET.
Stay tuned to MMA Junkie for additional broadcast details later this week.
Main event: Jack Della Maddalena
• Record: 18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC
• Opponent: Carlos Prates (23-7 MMA, 6-1 UFC)
• Division: Welterweight
• Key wins:Belal Muhammad, Gilbert Burns, Kevin Holland, Randy Brown
• Misc.: JDM gets a fight at home in his quest to get back to a welterweight title shot. He beat Belal Muhammad nearly a year ago to win the title in a Performance of the Night drubbing. But he dropped it to Islam Makhachev this past November when he moved up from lightweight to go for a second belt. The loss to the champ snapped a winning streak of nearly 10 years that included his first eight fights in the UFC.
Main event: Carlos Prates
• Record: 23-7 MMA, 6-1 UFC
• Opponent: Jack Della Maddalena (18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC)
• Division: Welterweight
• Key wins: Leon Edwards, Geoff Neal, Neil Magny, Li Jingliang, Charles Radtke, Charles Oliveira
• Misc.: Prates was in position to get a title shot when he ran into Ian Machado Garry a year ago and suffered his first loss in the UFC. But the Brazilian bounced back in a big way later in 2025 with a bonus-winning knockout of Geoff Neal in august, then another bonus for a KO of ex-champ Leon Edwards in November at UFC 322 in Madison Square Garden – teh biggest win of his career. A second straight win over an ex-champ might make a title shot undeniable for him.
Co-main event: Beneil Dariush
• Record: 23-7-1 MMA, 17-7-1 UFC
• Opponent: Quillan Salkilld (11-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC)
• Division: Lightweight
• Key wins: Renato Moicano, Mateusz Gamrot, Tony Ferguson, Diego Ferreira, Scott Holtzman, Drakkar Klose, Drew Dober, Thiago Moises, Evan Dunham, Rashid Magomedov, James Vick, Michael Johnson, Jim Miller
• Misc.: Talk about wanting to put a fight behind him – Dariush likely is in that position. In November at UFC 322, he was knocked out in 16 seconds by Benoit Saint-Denis. Adding insult to injury, he had to give up a percentage of his check to the Frenchman, too, because he missed weight for the first time in more than five years. He now has losses in three of his past four fights to essentially fall out of the title picture. But a road upset of Salkilld would change his trajectory, no doubt.
Co-main event: Quillan Salkilld
• Record: 11-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC
• Opponent: Beneil Dariush (23-7-1 MMA, 17-7-1 UFC)
• Division: Lightweight
• Key wins: Jamie Mullarkey, Nasrat Haqparast
• Misc.: Salkilld is a Perth native, and likely will bring the house down on his walkout as much as any other fighter on the card. He lost his pro debut in 2020 and hasn’t looked back with 11 straight wins, including his first four in the UFC. Three of those have been first-round stoppages, and all have come on numbered cards. This will be his first Fight Night in the UFC.
UFC debut: Ben Johnston
• Record: 5-1
• Opponent: Wes Schultz (8-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC)
• Division: Middleweight
• Misc.: Johnston, who trains at the City Kickboxing gym in New Zealand with a treasure trove of UFC stars, will be back for the first time in more than two years. He won the middleweight title for Eternal MMA in Australia in March 2024, but has been out of action since then. Now the 35-year-old longtime muay Thai standout, who only transitioned to MMA in 2022, gets a home-soil UFC debut.
