SARANAC — Isabelle Bergevin accounted for five touchdowns as Saranac defeated Keene, 39-13, Friday.

Bergevin had four touchdowns in the air and rushed for one.

She completed passes to six different receivers as Hannah Forgette led the way with eight receptions for 93 yards. Forgette was also the recipient of two touchdown passes.

Lily Brown and Maddie Gagnier had the other touchdown receptions.

Brown and Forgette also had interceptions, with Brown’s being returned for a touchdown. Grace Terry had two interceptions.

Brown was everywhere on the field as she accounted for a team-leading eight flag pulls. Myli LaPorte added six.

Stats were unavailable for Keene.

“It was a great game tonight for us on both sides of the ball,” Saranac head coach Dylan Everleth said. “Keene made some great plays in the first half to stall some drives for us on offense and had some great plays that led to scores. I thought we did a great job on settling in and cleaning things up.

“Everyone was involved today on offense and defense, and there were numerous big plays that contributed to a good win. We looked better today and need to continue to improve as the weeks go and keep our heads focused on consistency.”
