Georgia Bulldogs tight end Oscar Delp was selected in the third-round of the 2026 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. Delp is an extremely talented and athletic tight end that played an essential role on the Dawgs’ offense last season.
At 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, Delp is a massive player that has flashed NFL potential on numerous occasions during his time in Athens. Delp wasn’t the only one who stole the show during his draft celebration, however. While Delp and his family were celebrating him being drafted on TV, the talented tight end’s dog appeared to waste no time in taking Delp’s seat on the couch and making it his own. Of course, from the dog's prospective maybe it was Delp that took the dog's spot on the couch in the first place.
The Delp family’s dog has gone viral following the hilarious incident on draft night. It remains unknown if the dog will travel with Delp to New Orelans, but the star tight end finds himself in prime position for an elite rookie campaign nonetheless. Delp recorded 261 yards and one touchdown throughout his fourth and final season at Georgia, and the former Bulldog was selected at the beginning of the third round as a result.
Georgia saw a plethora of former players selected during the 2026 NFL draft this weekend. Star defensive lineman Christen Miller was selected by the Saints in the second round, but no Dawg was able to steal the show as much as Delp’s chocolate lab.
Delp shared that he spoke with Miller right after being drafted. The duo played in two Sugar Bowls together during their time at Georgia.
