Top Arizona girls track and field athletes
1. Brooke Zuluaga, Chandler Seton Catholic Prep, throws, Sr.
The Miami (Ohio) softball commit put herself into the record books, throwing 157 feet, 8 inches to win the javelin at the Chandler City Championships on April 22 and move up to No. 3 all-time in Arizona. Nationally, Zuluaga is No. 4 in the United States.
2. Christina Keller, Scottsdale Christian Academy, jumps, Sr.
She won the high jump at the NDP Our Lady of Victory Invitational on April 22, clearing 5-8 to set the state lead.
3. Bryn Kupfer, Snowflake, jumps, Jr.
She won the high jump at the 93rd annual Winslow Track & Field Invitational on April 24, clearing 5-8 to tie the state lead.
4. Avery Cowden, Scottsdale Horizon, jumps, Jr.
She won the triple jump at the Paradise Valley District Championships on April 22, hitting 37-10 to move up to No. 2 in the state.
5. Victoria Williams, Vail Cienega, throws, Sr.
She won the discus at the Southern Arizona Championships on April 24, throwing 147-7 to move up to No. 2 in the state.
6. Karsten Lewis, Oro Valley Canyon Del Oro, hurdles, Sr.
She won the 100-meter hurdles at the Southern Arizona Championships on April 24, running 13.84 to move up to No. 3 in the state.
7. Amerah Richardson, Chandler Arizona College Prep, sprints, Sr.
She won the 100 at the Chandler City Championships on April 22, running 11.87 to move up to No. 3 in the state.
8. Kiara Perkins, Phoenix Mountain Pointe, jumps, So.
She won the triple jump at Tempe All-City Championships on April 21, clearing 37-9.25 to move up to No. 3 in the state.
9. Maclane Clark, Gilbert Perry, hurdles, Sr.
She won the 300-hurdles and was second in the 100-hurdles at the Chandler City Championships on April 22, running 43.28 to move up to No. 3 in the state for the 300-hurdles and 14.43 to move up to No. 5 for the 100-hurdles.
10. Mikaela Lett, Gilbert Williams Field, throws, Jr.
She won the shot put at the Shaun Hardt True Grit Invitational on April 24, throwing 39-2 to move up to No. 4 in the state.
11. Deztany Toyota-Villalobos, Sierra Vista Buena, sprints, So.
She won the 100 at the Shaun Hardt True Grit Invitational on April 24, running 11.97 to move up to No. 5 in the state.
12. Keira Simmons, Phoenix Sandra Day O’Connor, jumps, Jr.
She won the high jump at the DVUSD Meet on April 21, clearing 5-7 to move up to No. 5 in the state.
13. Tziporah Korto, Waddell ALA West Foothills, sprints, So.
She won the 200 at the ALA District Championship on April 25, running 56.66 to move up to No. 6 in the state.
14. Allison Reamer, Cave Creek Cactus Shadows, mid-distance, Jr.
She won the 800 at the NDP Our Lady of Victory Invitational on April 22, running 2:16.47 to move up to No. 7 in the state.
15. Cera Hoggard, Cottonwood Mingus Union, throws, So.
She won the discus at the Yavapai County Track & Field Championships on April 23, throwing 123-7 to move up to No. 8 in the state.
