Today’s Capital One Shopping Top Offer is for GiftCards.com. Some Capital One Shopping users are seeing rates as high as 20% back on some multi-store cards or as high as 8% back on Visa and Mastercard gift cards, which can be an excellent deal.

Quick Thoughts
If you’re in need of gift cards, this can obviously be an excellent deal. Particularly for rarely-discounted brands, the single-store and multi-store gift cards can be terrific deals. Unfortunately, not all users are targeted for rates as high as 20%. In my household, we are only seeing rates as high as 10.5% right now.
That said, I’ll certainly keep my eye on my email today in case we get targeted for higher rates that way.
Do note the limitation: orders greater than $2,000 are not eligible. That limit is for an individual order. In my experience, I need to wait 48 hours after a large order before I can place a second order without my order getting cancelled, so I would only expect to use this offer once per account if you’re making a big order. Also note that GiftCards.com can be cancel-happy. I couldn’t get an order through for years, until one day it started working again for me.
Personally, I would be likely to use this offer to buy Visa or Mastercard gift cards (I then use those gift cards to pay insurance bills that I need to pay anyway). Virtual Visa and Mastercard gift cards can be purchased in increments of up to $250 each with an activation fee of $5.95 per card. Still, at the targeted 8% back, one would earn $20 in Capital One Shopping rewards per $250 card. If I bought $1,000 worth of those cards, it would cost me $23.80 in activation fees to earn $80 worth of Capital One Shopping rewards (not accounting for any other rewards earned on the purchase). While those rewards can only be redeemed for gift cards, I’d essentially be buying gift card credit at 70% off of face value, which is a trade I am happy to make with plans to redeem for Marriott or Hotels.com gift cards.
If you highly value Capital One miles, you may prefer to log in to your Capital One credit card account. We’re seeing up to 10X miles within our Capital One accounts.
Either way, this deal will only be valid today (4/29/26), so if you’re in the market for some gift cards, today is the day to buy with this deal.
