It was a moment Elmer Rodriguez will never forget.

One of the Yankees’ most promising young pitchers, the 22-year-old righthander is set to make his Major League debut Wednesday afternoon.

Rodriguez, rated the Yankees’ No. 3 prospect by MLB Pipeline, will start the series finale at Texas against the Rangers.

And in an emotional moment caught on video, Rodriguez was informed by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre manager Shelley Duncan that he was heading to the big leagues.
