GREEN BAY – The three-year contract extension wide receiver Jayden Reed signed before the NFL draft cost the Green Bay Packers $4.5 million in salary cap space this year, leaving them with $21 million to do business.

The Packers will need about $4.5 million of that space to sign their six-man draft class but should have more than enough room to address contract extensions with receiver Christian Watson, tight end Tucker Kraft and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.

Reed’s three-year extension is worth $51,979,197, according to a source with access to NFL salary data.

It features a signing bonus of $16.5 million and a guaranteed $3.5 million roster bonus this year. He is scheduled to earn $21,229,197 in his first season.

Reed’s salary cap number in 2027 is a reasonable $10.875 million. It jumps to $17.625 million in ’28 and $17.25 million in ’29.
