SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Veribest High School’s Bryce Martin was the center of attention Tuesday afternoon at the Falcons’ gymnasium, as he made his plans official to play baseball at Wayland Baptist University.
Martin was a three-sport standout at Veribest, competing in basketball, track and field and football.
Veribest does not have a baseball team, but that didn’t keep Martin from heading to the next level in the sport that is closest to his heart. He’s a pitcher for the West Texas Hooks.
The Falcons senior made school history this past season on the hardwood, as he surpassed 1,000 points in his basketball career.
He was surrounded by friends, family, coaches, teachers and classmates on his special day Tuesday afternoon.
