Tennessee pitchers Karlyn Pickens and Sage Mardjetko were named Top 25 Finalists for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.
The award is considered the highest individual honor in NCAA Division I softball, recognizing the nation's most outstanding player over the course of the season. Pickens, a senior, is on the list for a third time in her career, while Mardjetko is appearing on the list for the first time.
Pickens is 12-6 this season and has a 1.50 ERA. She has also recorded four saves, eight complete games and two shutouts. Pickens has allowed 48 walks and recorded 140 strikeouts in 102.2 innings pitched.
Mardjetko, a junior, has an 11-1 record in 2026. She has a 0.93 ERA and has recorded five shutouts. Mardjetko has allowed 36 walks and recorded 136 strikeouts. She leads the SEC in ERA and ranks second nationally. Mardjetko also ranks third in the nation in hits allowed per seven innings (3.29).
She ranks 10th nationally in strikeouts per seven innings (9.7) and third in WHIP (0.78).
