NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Khamzat Chimaev is less than 10 days out from his first attempted title defense in the UFC 328 main event.
The middleweight title fight between Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) and Sean Strickland (30-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) takes place May 9 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
While the war of words (and threats) has been the main focus in the bout's lead-up, talking is unlikely to help either man when it comes time to throw down.
Thursday, at JAXXON House, Chimaev held an open workout where he showed off his striking skills, shadowboxing, and hitting mitts with coach Edmond Taverdyan in front of select media, including MMA Junkie.
Check out a highlight of Chimaev's workout in the video above.
