The first U.S. Golf Association championship of the year is almost here.
The 2026 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball is the first of the USGA's 17 championships on the schedule, and it begins May 2 at Daniel Island Club in South Carolina.
The inaugural U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship was played in 2015 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort (Pacific Dunes), in Bandon, Oregon. Along with the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball, which also debuted in 2015 at The Olympic Club, in San Francisco, the championships were the first additions to the USGA’s annual competitive schedule since the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur in 1987.
Last year, Oregon teenagers Natalie Yen, 18, and Asia Young, 16, defeated 17-year-old Kentucky residents Athena Singh and Keira Yun, 5 and 3, in the 18-hole final at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club, in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma. It was the second-largest margin of victory in a championship match in the 10-year-old competition. Yen and Young were the top seeds for match play.
