Each year, NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller breaks down his favorite picks in the selection process once the dust has settled. He goes through each pick and makes his top 100 from the nearly 300 picks made by the 32 clubs in the NFL.
He explains his process in this year's edition, writing, "Talent is a big factor in these rankings, but we dove deeper than that. We factored in value (where a player was drafted vs. where he was ranked predraft), scheme fit, how the selection addressed a need, what the prospect brings on the field and what draft assets were given up or added via trade in getting each player."
Miller ranks the following picks among his favorites, with their ranking in his top 100 next to them:
• OT Caleb Tiernan (34th)
• DL Caleb Banks (43rd)
• DL Domonique Orange (68th)
• FB Max Bredeson (83rd)
• RB Demond Claiborne (85th)
For a draft class that has been up for so much debate, this has to be a welcome sight to Vikings fans. While none of the picks are ranked very highly, especially their 18th overall selection coming in at 43rd, they hope the quality and not the quantity that are present here is not overpowering.
