The Boston Fleet did exactly what they needed to do in Game 1. Now, they have a chance to put the Ottawa Charge in a real playoff hole.

After opening their PWHL Walter Cup Playoffs series with a 2-1 win, the Fleet host the Charge on Saturday night for a pivotal Game 2. Boston trailed after the opening goal but flipped the game in the second period, with Alina Müller and Jamie Lee Rattray scoring just 1:31 apart to give the Fleet the lead for good.

That response gives Boston a 1-0 advantage in the best-of-five semifinal series. A win in Game 2 would put the Fleet one victory away from a return to the PWHL Finals, while Ottawa will be looking to even the series before it shifts back home.

Boston’s core, led by Megan Keller, Haley Winn and goaltender Aerin Frankel, will look to set the tone again as the Fleet chase their second consecutive trip to the championship round.
