Hoffenheim forward Andrej Kramarić will remain at the Bundesliga club beyond the end of the season.

His contract extension for a deal running out in June was announced just before Saturday's crunch Bundesliga clash at home to VfB Stuttgart and he promptly scored an early goal. A club statement did not say how long his new deal was for.

"I am very proud to be able to wear this shirt in the future too. Everyone knows what this club means to me," he said. "I feel extremely at home here. The club and the region have long since become my second home. I am happy that this special relationship is continuing."

The 34-year-old Croatia striker has been at Hoffenheim since 2016 and is sticking around as the south-west club's talisman and record scorer.

They are looking to snatch a Champions League spot for next term via the Bundesliga top four, having been relegation candidates last term.
