(SAN ANTONIO, TX) — The Colorado Springs Switchbacks went through another roller coaster of a game in their 3-3 draw against San Antonio FC. After going to penalty kicks with the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday, the Switchbacks regrouped to get back to league play.

Tied 1-1 at the break, Colorado Springs took the lead right out of the locker room as Sadam Masereka scored from outside the penalty box. The Switchbacks would hold the lead until the 83rd minute when Jorge Hernandez scored his second goal of the game to tie the game. During the 11 minutes of extra time, San Antonio’s Alex Crognale added another to take a 3-2 lead.

It felt like the game was over, but in the 100th minute of the match with the final whistle set to blow at any second, the Switchbacks scored on an own goal after a corner kick popped out to Brennan Creek who fired and found a deflection off a San Antonio player in which allowed Colorado Springs to walk away with the points split.
