Karate Combat has messed around with influencer fighting, and now influencer fighting is messing around with Karate Combat.

Karate Combat 61 went down Saturday May 2nd from the KC Apex in Miami, Florida, and was supposed to be headlined by Patricky Pitbull before a pre-fight brawl led to a cut under his eye that cancelled the fight. As if that wasn’t bad enough, controversy struck further down the card as well.

Winged C, aka Malcolm Schuyler, is a ridiculously tattooed fighter best known for his showboating in Streetbeefs matches. He’s got a variety of amateur fights in various organizations plus a win at Karate Combat 59 where he finished his opponent via R1 TKO. He showed up once again at Karate Combat 61, but this time his entrance to the ring was unauthorized.

During the Claudio Ribeiro vs. Curtis Millender main card fight, Wing C jumped into the pit with a white cane, stumbling around the ring as if he was blind. The referee was forced to pause the fight and corral Winged C out of the fighting area to a chorus of boos.

UFC and Bellator vet Curtis Millender was particularly angry about the incident, and he made that known at the fighter hotel following the event where Winged C was once again on hand. Footage of their initial run-in wasn’t captured on film but the aftermath was, with Winged C bleeding all over the lobby while yelling at Millender.

Cops were called and Winged C was tossed from the property, with his main complaint being Millender didn’t wait for cameras to roll before the incident. Anything for content, right?

The whole fighter / influencer combo is a growing trend in combat sports and here’s an example of how dumb these people can be. Response to Winged C’s stunt was overwhelmingly negative, but as usual it’s the attention that these people want and he certainly generated that with this stunt.
