No player enjoys getting hit by the pitch. After all, in today's MLB, pitchers are throwing triple digits with movement. It cannot be a pleasant experience to get hit by one of those pitches.

That's not exactly what Shohei Ohtani had to go through on Sunday, and even the Dodgers broadcast had jokes for the reaction.

With the Dodgers star at the plate in the seventh inning against the Cardinals, Justin Bruihl's sweeper got away from him and hit Ohtani on the backside. As far as hit by pitches go, a 75 mph sweeper on the butt is about as tame as it gets. You just wouldn't know that from Ohtani's scream.

"That was a little dramatic," Dodgers announcer Joe Davis joked as Ohtani's scream was completely audible on the broadcast.

We could even see as Ohtani laughed as he made his way to first base. Amazingly, Ohtani was OK after such a terrifying moment. Perseverance at its best.
