Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company has announced a significant increase in its financial performance for the first quarter of 2026, driven by operational optimisation and an expanded international network. The airline reported a consolidated revenue of VND 21.021 trillion (approximately $798.6 million), marking a 17.1% year-on-year increase. Consolidated profit before tax rose by 36.5% to VND 1.142 trillion (approximately $43.3 million), whilst profit after tax soared by 59.6% to VND 1.023 trillion (approximately $38.8 million).

The airline’s total assets reached VND 143.534 trillion (approximately $5.45 billion) by the end of March 2026, maintaining a net debt/equity ratio of 2.1 and a liquidity ratio of 1.5.
During Q1, Vietjet transported 7.2 million passengers, a 5.1% increase year-on-year, and operated 39,903 flights. The airline expanded its network with five new routes between Vietnam and China, bringing its total to 186 routes. The International Air Transport Association extended Vietjet’s ISAGO certification for ground handling operations at Noi Bai International Airport, underscoring its adherence to international standards.
Investments in fleet and infrastructure included a $5.4 billion deal for Pratt & Whitney engines and a $965 million aircraft financing agreement. Vietjet also advanced its human resources through extensive training programmes. The airline received accolades such as the World’s Best Ultra Low-Cost Carrier 2026 and was recognised as the lowest-emission airline on intra-Southeast Asian routes.
