Arsenal are looking to play in their first Champions League final since 2006 later this month and will be desperate to get the job done when they host Atletico Madrid in the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final tie at Emirates Stadium tomorrow. The Gunners played a 1-1 draw in the first-leg last week and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping for some injury boosts after Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz missed Saturday’s Premier League victory over Fulham.

Atletico also have injury concerns of their own after Argentine striker Julian Alvarez – a summer target for the North London club – did not make the matchday squad against Valencia at the weekend. The former Manchester City star came off towards the end of the first-leg against Arsenal due to an injury and appears to be a doubt for tomorrow’s game. However, Alvarez has been named in Atletico’s travelling squad for tomorrow’s game at the Emirates, but it remains to be seen whether he will be available to play.

The La Liga club are not ready to give anything away and will now keep Arsenal guessing as far as Alvarez’s availability goes. The 26-year-old scored the equaliser against the Gunners from the penalty spot last week and will be desperate to help his team progress to the final.

He has ten goals and four assists in 14 Champions League appearances this term, and Arsenal have to be on their toes to keep him at bay.
