Chelsea take on Nottingham Forest in a lesser spotted 3pm Monday kick off, with interim manager Calum McFarlane looking to build on his first win as Blues boss last week.
With a close to fully fit squad, who will the caretaker pick?
Chelsea’s team to play Nottingham Forest
In goal Robert Sanchez is a cert. The defence is much less certain. Reece James looks close to a return, but we’re not sure he’ll be risked today. Malo Gusto will be at right back, in that case.
At centre back, Trevoh Chalobah is fit and certain to start. The other slot was taken by Tosin last week, and the fact that he kept a clean sheet should mean that he gets the nod over Wesley Fofana again. Marc Cucurella will play at left back.
In midfield, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia should keep their place, with Enzo Fernandez deployed ahead of them.
Out wide, Pedro Neto has to play ahead of the out of form Alejandro Garnacho on the left, with Cole Palmer on the right win, despite his own poor form.
Joao Pedro played well last week and was vital in helping the team return to winning ways. He will hopefully do the same today.
In other news…
Chelsea’s squad has major issues in terms of the type of players bought – but also in terms of their character.
Barcelona are obviously very keen on signing Joao Pedro, but we can’t see Chelsea making a deal happen at this stage.
