Tennessee basketball won one of the top transfer portal prizes in Wake Forest guard Juke Harris, he announced through social media on May 4.

Harris received significant interest from North Carolina and Michigan and considered the NBA draft, but ultimately opted with the Vols.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore was one of the premier scorers in the country last season. He averaged 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Demon Deacons while shooting 44.4% from the floor and 33.2% from 3-points range in 35 games.

Harris was sixth in the country in total points scored and finished in the top 15 in points per game. He scored 20 or more points in 20 games and had three 30-point performances.

Tennessee now has seven players in its transfer portal class. Harris will enter Knoxville as the Vols' most talented scorer alongside California guard Dai Dai Ames, Notre Dame forward Jalen Haralson, Belmont guard Tyler Lundblade and VCU guard Terrence Hill Jr. Loyola (Chicago) center Miles Rubin and Kennesaw State forward Braeden Lue represent their frontcourt additions.

A Salisbury, North Carolina native, Harris went to Salisbury High School and was a top-100 national recruit in the 2024 class. The four-star prospect was the No. 9 overall player in North Carolina, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Harris received power conference offers from Kansas, Virginia, NC State, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M before going to Wake Forest.

He also received an offer from Tennessee and went on an official visit on Oct. 15, 2022.
