HK Express is one of these LLCs, but is now owned by Cathay Pacific, which keeps the brand separate while maintaining a slight tie-up through its Asia Miles.

It is a hard sell to get an elite member to book on HK Express and forgo lounge access and other services at HKIA, but I guess that if you just travel with a small bag, it can make sense.
