Emirates appears to have launched a new promotion encouraging Skywards members to book travel on May 1 and August 31, 2026.
There should be a bonus Tier Miles offer and lowered tier requirements in place, but it seems that Emirates has forgotten to update its website or inform program members about this.

There should be both bonus Skywards tier miles for program members AND reduced tier requirements.
If you search for flights on the Emirates website, you may see an increase in Tier miles awards that should be 30%, but it won’t apply to everyone or every trip.
There is no notice about reduced tier requirements.
Conclusion
I actually just took a paid Emirates business-class flight today and credited it to Aegean.
Had Emirates informed me in advance about this promotion, which their website is still silent about, I might have decided to credit the flight to Skywards instead.
