Etihad really started to ramp up operations in mid-March, after flying a very limited schedule at the start of the Iran War, which is currently “paused”.

Etihad has been increasing the number of flights it operates from its Abu Dhabi hub, but it no longer publishes a daily flight list. The airline is operating 80 passenger flights this Wednesday (April 22, 2026) from its Abu Dhabi hub.

You can access Etihad here.

Note that Etihad has extended its flexible rebooking and refund policies, and also offers lowered tier qualification/requalification requirements:

Gulf Air Travel Stats:

Flightradar24 has compiled interesting stats on how air travel in the Gulf has rebounded since the start of the war with Iran. Etihad has been quickly increasing the number of flights it operates since last week.

Conclusion

Etihad is roughly at 70% of its pre-Iran War passenger flight schedule, and Flightradar24 data show a significant increase in activity starting April 1

They have launched extremely aggressive sales for travel between Europe, North America, and Asia, likely an indication that they really want to fill these flights because, without passengers, they are not viable (obviously), and many probably need a financial incentive (a reduced price) to travel via the Gulf at the moment.

There is also the status fast track offer that only requires a return flight in economy or first:

Etihad Guest Silver & Gold Fast Track Offers Select Countries April 16 – July 15, 2026 (Book By April 30)

Etihad’s passenger flight operations are up and down, depending on the day of the week. I guess they are still searching for flight levels that work for them in the current environment.
