Visalia, Calif.-based Kaweah Health has named Max Heckhausen vice president of strategy, according to a post on his LinkedIn page.

In his new role, Mr. Heckhausen oversees business development, growth, innovation, marketing and media relations, the Kaweah Health Foundation, patient experience and community engagement, physician recruitment and relations, project management and consulting, and surgical service lines.

He  joins the health system from Orange, Calif.-based UCI Health, where he most recently served as head of strategic growth and operations.

Prior to joining UCI Health, Mr. Heckhausen served as a senior consultant for strategic planning and business development for Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente. He also previously served as a consultant for GE Healthcare Partners.
