Cambridge, Mass.-based Beth Israel Lahey Health has selected Heidi as its systemwide AI scribe vendor.

The 14-hospital system has started rolling out the technology to all its physicians after a successful six-month pilot with 1,000 providers. They reported satisfaction with the note quality and Heidi’s ability to capture complex medical terms, feeling more present and able to make more eye contact with patients, and reduced “pajama time” and cognitive load.

“Leveraging innovative technologies is key to improving our workforce and patient experience,” stated Rob Fields, MD, executive vice president and chief clinical officer of Beth Israel Lahey Health, in an April 28 news release. “Heidi has helped our clinicians by alleviating administrative burdens on their daily caseload.”
