The usual conversion ratio from Amex MR US to Hilton Honors is 1:2.

Under this 20% conversion bonus, 1,000 Membership Rewards points become 2,400 Hilton Honors points

Conclusion

You can always buy Hilton Honors points during frequent sales at 0.5 US cents each.

This means that under this 20% bonus, 1 MR point would be worth 1.2 US cents (depending, obviously, on how you redeem them with Hilton later).
