Aetna President Steve Nelson has been appointed to the board of directors for data analytics company Health Catalyst.
Mr. Nelson’s appointment, effective May 1, comes after Ben Albert was named CEO and Justin Spencer was named board chairman earlier this year, according to an April 30 news release.
The company said in the release that Mr. Nelson’s appointment continues a “deliberate pattern of leadership moves designed to accelerate the company’s transformation– executing on a single, coordinated strategy to help health systems address cost, clinical outcomes and consumer experience as one imperative.”
Mr. Nelson also serves as executive vice president of Aetna’s parent company, CVS Health.
