Back in January, the Minnesota Vikings would fire general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah after four seasons in the role with the organization. Many believed the franchise would address the position immediately, as free agency was set to begin and the 2026 NFL Draft was just around the corner.
Instead, Minnesota would name Rob Brzezinski interim GM and not look to hire until after the draft.
Brzezinski had been non-committal about wanting the full-time job until this week, as he informed the club that he is interested in the full-time job. Owners Mark and Zygi Wilf have announced they will engage the search firm TurnkeyZRG during this process, and a decision on the role should not be expected any time soon. Look for Minnesota to search outside for candidates, as the NFL is loaded with potential candidates right now.
This should be viewed as a very tempting position, with plenty of applicants and interviews scheduled for the coming weeks.
