Jacksonville State softball will have to wait to find out its opponent in the Conference USA softball tournament.

The Gamecocks (42-13) will wait until Thursday to play awaiting the winner of Delaware and the play-in game between Sam Houston State and New Mexico State.

The Gamecocks ran away with the regular season title going 24-3 in conference play, five games ahead of second place Western Kentucky.

The Gamecocks will play on Thursday in the Conference USA tournament, earning a double bye thanks to finishing as regular season champions. They avoid the first two rounds but get one day off.
