If former Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn could give Jürgen Klopp some advice, it would be to avoid the Real Madrid job at all costs.

In statements made to Marca (as captured by Madrid Universal), Kahn seemed to lay out why that kind of move for Klopp would be a hideous idea:

Yikes.

In some respects, Kahn is not wrong — Xabi Alonso went in to try and instill a new philosophy on the pitch and a mindset off of the field.

It did not work, as multiple Real Madrid players became hindrances to the progress Alonso was attempting to make. Ultimately, it got Alonso fired just months into his contract and the team was worse off for it.

Does Klopp want that kind of headache at this stage of his career or is the talent level just too enticing for him to pass up?

Well, at least we know where Kahn stands on things.
