Notre Dame football landed a big commitment when Florida 2027 safety Zayden Gamble made his verbal at the end of April.
Over the weekend, the nation’s No. 177 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite suggested that he “might bring someone on board with me.” Gamble didn’t specify who, but he does prep at powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas, who annually sends multiple players to the Division I level.
Doing a bit of digging on who the Irish have offered from his teammates, the most obvious choice would be legacy wide receiver Julius Jones. He’s already been predicted to land at Notre Dame by 247Sports Zach Blostein.
Elite offensive tackle Mark Matthews also holds an Irish offer, as does defensive lineman Wyatt Smith and cornerback Jaden Carey. Gamble also could be referring to another Floridian, but the good news is that he is actively recruiting to add elite playmakers to Notre Dame’s roster.
