Memorial Hospital in Abilene, Kan., has installed a new CT scanner to expand its imaging capabilities, according to an April 16 report by KCYL.
The Siemens Healthineers “SOMATOM go.All” system became operational March 24 following construction, installation and testing. The hospital used a mobile CT unit during the transition to avoid disruptions to patient care.
The scanner supports routine and advanced imaging, including neurological and cancer-related scans. It uses AI-guided technology to streamline workflows, shorten exam times and improve image consistency.
The system also includes features designed to enhance patient comfort and reduce radiation exposure while maintaining diagnostic accuracy.
