Back in January, I broke the news that Red Bull Summer Edition 2026 would be Sudachi Lime. Today, despite feeling like we only just got our hands on the Cherry Sakura Spring Edition, I’ve got a few cans of the next seasonal drop from the big Red Bull machine. (Speaking of, thanks to Red Bull for sending over samples for this early review.) Let’s find out whether this exotic citrus concept has horns or just messes with the bull.

What is Sudachi?

Sudachi is a Japanese citrus fruit primarily used as a flavoring in place of lemon or lime. Genetically, the sour fruit is a cross between a yuzu and a Koji or mandarin orange. While Red Bull has released lime-flavored editions in a few countries, this will be the first time a Red Bull is explicitly advertised as “Sudachi” flavored. Much like this year’s fan-favorite Cherry Sakura Spring Edition, Sudachi Lime feels like Red Bull’s attempt to familiarize the U.S. audience with a foreign flavor by using a similar, more common flavor as a guide.
