Hartford (Conn.) Hospital has unveiled plans for a $950 million, 14-story inpatient tower, Hartford Business reported April 27.

The tower will have 250 private patient rooms, three floors of procedural space, and a new patient arrival center that will serve as the hospital’s main entrance. The tower will connect multiple parts of the campus, as well as expand emergency department capacity and expand and upgrade cancer care and infusion services.

The project is part of a more than $1 billion investment to transform the main campus and expand access to care. This includes renovating roughly 15 buildings and expanding community-based programs and clinics, the report said.
